Generation and memories

Another year passed away from our life, and a lots of data were added to our memory. Some of those are good, and some are bad. I wish that we have a delete button for those bad memories. But to be very honest, I do not want to delete my bad memories, because I believe that it will teach me not to make those same mistakes again.

Memories travel from generation to generation.

All of us have some exciting stories of our friends and family members. 🙂 My parents always told (I would instead say ‘complain’) me that our generation is just ridiculous. In the beginning, I used to fight with them – literally tried to get them believe that we are better than them, but now I do not do this, because it is just a pointless.

There is a huge generation gap between our x-y generation and our parents. At their age, they had almost nothing, and now it is nearly everything. From the transistor to Tweeter, I think, they have gone through a pretty hectic way to cope with these changes. The last two/three decades were so fast that it is very tough to understand what actually happened. And honestly speaking, I am still struggling. Now, if you force Mr. Tiger Pataudi to open with Virat Kohli for India, then I do not think it will be a good idea at all. Is not it? What do you think? But it is okay. You can not blame anyone – either them or us. Instead, I would say just take it easy and spend some quality time with them. Because, when one of a sudden nights you just realize that they are no longer with you and you spent most of the time fighting with them – I do not think you will feel proud of yourself. And, I believe that crying is not the solution every time.

In my opinion, memories are the worst and the best thing a human can have.

I still remember those days when I used to feel rich for having a color television in my home. But now, when I see a school student with iPhone, I really feel angry.

Another generation gap, I guess. But it is natural and healthy. Every good thing comes with a bunch of adverse effects. You just can not help it – but seriously, would not you miss those days when we used to have landline telephone in our home? I literally miss those days.

Life was very much innocent at that time. No social media, no chatting, no Twitter, no Facebook, only you and your real friends – not an avatar and your storybooks, your audio cassettes, that is all I had at least.

I suddenly realized that my daughter would not even understand her mother’s childhood – seems like the same story as mine. My parents told me that they did not have a television in their young age, but I could not even understand this, because I have started my life with black and white television. My daughter started her life with iPhone and iPad, which I got at the age of 29. History is repeating itself again. Too tough to understand. But…..

Very tricky, I know. Once, we used to live for dreams and needs, but now we live for desire. One thing I can say with confidence is that maybe we did not have that many next generation technologies at our young time, but we were happy. But now, we have almost everything in terms of technological applications, but we are not satisfied enough. We are running for happiness; we are chasing for desire.

Sometimes we do not even realize that we have already crossed the goal but still running pointlessly. We are so busy that we do not have time for ourselves. Do you remember when did you last see the stars?

To be very honest, once upon a time, I used to watch the night sky for hours to figure out the constellation and wondered how it could be even possible that such a big universe – and just us – impossible, there must be some aliens out there. But now I do not even have any time to see the night sky. Shame on me, I know. I totally get that. But you know, I already told you earlier that the best thing about our generation is that we do not complain, we adjust. I hope we will have a very bright future when we will get the best ever technical support that humans can avail. And, we will be the best species in the universe. I hope we are on the journey of that golden age of our civilization, and we will end up there with the victory, will not vanish like Mayans. Hopefully…..

Peace must be Joking!

I do not like the word peace. Nowadays, this is the most unwanted and unnecessary word we know. Maybe I am crazy, but if you think carefully, you can understand.
